Our systems limit heat transfer and fire risks and provide moisture and corrosion resistance so that process control is assured and energy costs are kept at a minimum.
Storage vessels are an important element of installations in the processing industry. A lot of processes require multiple materials that are stored in vessels until they are introduced into the process. Vessels can contain liquids, oils or gases under a wide range of temperatures.
A lot of vessels are made of steel and therefore could be subjected to corrosion as a result of leakages, overfilling or water ingress from rain or condensation. This is one of the reasons why vessels should be insulated and ideally with an insulation system that is capable of meeting the corrosion resistance requirements while providing long-term insulation efficiency.
Corrosion under insulation can proceed undetected until a leak finally occurs. Such leaks can be particularly hazardous, if they involve facilities that contain combustible liquids or gases, if they involve materials at very high temperatures, or if they involve pressure vessels.
