Sustainability is rooted in the idea that people deserve the opportunity to enjoy a high quality of life. That’s why we consistently seek to engage with communities around the world, especially in the places where our people live and work. It’s an idea that is very much in keeping with our values — especially the idea that we are dedicated to caring for our people and our communities.

While financial support is an essential element of our approach to corporate citizenship, we are proud of the fact that our employees are very much at the center of our efforts around the world. Their volunteerism is a key driver of our community engagement efforts, and in many ways, they guide our philanthropic endeavors.

In fact, it’s our goal that by 2030, 100% of our employees will be actively engaged in their communities through company-sponsored activities.

Battalion Buddies

In partnership with Operation Gratitude, our teams stuff and dress “Battalion Buddy” stuffed bears to comfort the children of our nation’s deployed troops. Battalion Buddies are dressed in a camo jacket and cap, with a note of encouragement tied around their neck.

Hurricane Helene Relief

Following Hurricane Helene, Doors employees came together to volunteer with Feed the Hunger, an organization that packs meals for malnourished children around the world. When the northwestern part of North Carolina was hit by the hurricane, one of their warehouses located in Greensboro, NC was affected by the storm, and the Doors employees helped replenish their supply.

Housing First Apeldoorn

Apeldoorn, Netherlands employees engage with Housing First, an organization that provides housing and a helping hand to those at risk in the community, by providing a food bike to generate additional income and increase their visibility.
