Applications

R25H is a versatile solution for central stiffness members for fiber-optic cabling, cylinders and pipes, and woven glass reinforcements. Industries include telecommunications, chemical and sewage pipe, water distribution, and wind energy.

Availability & Packaging

R25H is available in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Additional weights and widths may be available upon request by contacting your Owens Corning representative.

Available Tex include 600, 735, 1200, 4400, and 4800

Rovings are available in a single-end internal-pull package. Each pallet weighs about 1 ton. Pallets are stretch wrapped for load stability. All doffs are wrapped with Tack-Pak™ or shrinkable film for protection during transport. Full doffs are available in 32 kg (71 lbs.) and 20 kg (45 lbs.), depending on shipping location and are packaged in bulk. More information is available in the Customer Acceptance Standards.

Labeling

Each individual package is labeled with information, including product name, Tex/yield, producing plant, and production date.

Storage

It is recommended to store glass fiber products in a cool, dry area. The glass fiber products must remain in their original packaging material until the point of usage; the product should be stored in the workshop, within its original packaging, 48 hours prior to its utilization to allow it to reach the workshop temperature condition and prevent condensation, especially during cold season. The packaging is not waterproof. Be sure to protect the product from the weather and other sources of water. When stored properly, there is no known shelf life to the product, but retesting is advised after three years from the initial production date to ensure optimum performance.
