PROGRAM

LEAD

Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Octavio Vazquez immigrated to the United States and found his passion at the intersection of sales and community building. He earned a dual degree in Professional Sales and International Business from the University of Toledo before joining Owens Corning's sales team.

Octavio leads the Owens Corning Latino Program, driving strategic efforts that focus on empowering Hispanic contractors with the tools, resources, and opportunities to grow their businesses. As the Program Lead for Pantera Pros, he is dedicated to helping others build their own path to success and achieve their version of the American Dream.

Kate Apunte was born in Quito, Ecuador, and earned a Business Administration degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. In 2023, she began working at Owens Corning, where she discovered her passion for the roofing industry and started supporting her Hispanic community.

As the Program Specialist, Kate is dedicated to empowering Hispanic contractors through customized marketing strategies. By providing training programs, access to digital marketing tools, and networking events, she helps them enhance their visibility, connect with others, and grow their businesses, ultimately strengthening the community.

Customer Solutions Champion

Vicky (Hernandez) Ferris, a first-generation daughter of a Peruvian mother and Puerto Rican father, grew up immersed in cultural diversity and resilience. She earned dual degrees in Spanish and International Relations from Kent State University, leading to a 20-year career teaching Spanish.

In 2022, Vicky transitioned to Owens Corning as a bilingual Champion in Customer Solutions. She now trains bilingual agents in roofing, insulation, prodesk, and warranty services, ensuring exceptional support for Spanish-speaking clients. Vicky's continuous growth and dedication to bridging cultural and linguistic gaps make her an invaluable asset in both education and corporate sectors.

Field Technical

Lead

Charlie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and joined Owens Corning in 2019 as a Senior Product Specialist. In 2022, he took on the leadership of the Field Technical Specialist team. Before joining Owens Corning, Charlie gained extensive experience working as a contractor, consultant, and roof inspector.

In his current role, Charlie is driving advancements in our field technical capabilities, focusing on claims management, quality assurance, and installation training. Bilingual in English and Spanish, his dedication to improving field operations and his diverse background make him an invaluable asset to Owens Corning.

NATIONAL

TRAINER

Felipe, born in San Jose, Costa Rica, brings a wealth of experience to his role as the National Trainer for product installation and application at Owens Corning. With a background as a Combat Engineer in the US Army, including a year in Afghanistan, and 7 years as a contractor in Louisiana, Felipe has honed his skills in the roofing industry.

His dedication to excellence and passion for training make him an invaluable asset to Owens Corning. Felipe currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA, but travels around the country to conduct our trainings in both English and Spanish.
