Born in Fire

Residential Mineral Wool Products

Outstanding Fire Resistance

Mineral wool insulation is made from rock and blast furnace slag. The raw materials are melted in a furnace at temperatures above 1,426 °C (2,600 °F). The molten substance is spun into billions of fibers, which are formed into insulating blankets with a high recycled content that provide fire resistive characteristics, thermal insulation and sound control.
